WWILD Women Speak Out For Sexual Violence Awareness Month

WWILD-SVP is set to raise awareness of sexual violence against people with intellectual disabilities in October. Between 50-99% of women with intellectual disability will experience sexual violence in their lifetime. Men with intellectual disabilities are also at higher risk than men without disabilities.

To challenge the attitudes in society which place people at risk, women from WWILD are speaking out this October, with plans to attend the annual Reclaim the Night rally on the 25th of October.

Women of the WWILD Women's Group created a banner which will be displayed on the front of the WWILD building in Wooloowin  throughout October, then be taken to Reclaim the Night.
